WHAT IS RDM?
Random Deathmatch, commonly shortened to "RDM," refers to when a player kills others without any justifiable cause, or when a player reacts poorly to being killed, even if it was fair. This term originated from the gaming community rather than being officially recognized. Its definition can vary depending on the server's rules. Common consequences for RDM include temporary or permanent bans, or an admin taking action by using commands like "slay" to deal with the offending player.
WHAT IS VDM?
Vehicular Deathmatch, or "VDM," occurs when a player deliberately uses their vehicle to crash into other players or vehicles with harmful intent. This behavior is not permitted.
In cases of accidental collisions caused by desync, the responsible player should apologize and explain that it was unintentional due to a "head pop."
If you are a victim of intentional VDM, you are allowed to defend yourself by shooting the driver and passengers involved. However, this does not grant permission for your gang members to open fire on the vehicle involved in the VDM.
WHAT IS CK?
A CK, or Character Kill, is when your Role-Play Character is killed off permanently and can never come back to life.
WHAT IS META GAMING?
Metagaming refers to the use of out-of-character (OOC) knowledge to influence in-game decisions. This can range from major instances, like reading a scenario ahead of time to learn all the secrets, to subtle actions, such as predicting a game master's decisions based on their usual behavior.
While metagaming can be considered cheating, especially in more extreme cases, it isn't always harmful. Some players use OOC information to enhance the story, choosing to embrace events that might be unfavorable for their character because it adds more drama or depth to the narrative.
WHAT IS OOC?
OOC stands for "out of character." This term is commonly used in role-playing to indicate that a player is stepping out of their character's persona temporarily. In fanfiction, writers may use OOC to express concern that a character's behavior or dialogue does not align with their usual traits or established personality in a particular scene.
